Sometimes, we stay longer than we should. We have a tendency to hold on to toxic relationships and situations just because of the length of time we've known someone or because we're related to them. We feel a sense of obligation. Love and familiarity keeps us from seeing the bigger picture.
Toxic energy is toxic energy- no matter the source. Give yourself permission to walk away from ANYONE who belittles, betrays, or puts you down constantly. You deserve peace in your life. You deserve to share your life with people where there's mutual respect, support and love.
